Weather Alert & School Closure (Update #3)



UPDATE AS OF: WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 6, 2017 @ 10:00PM

Based on recent information from the Emergency Operations Center, regarding Hurricane Irma's progression, Cornerstone Christian School will operate on the following modified schedule:

Thursday, September 7, 2017

(1) - Classes are scheduled as normal. However, any student absences on this day will be consider excused.

(2) - MOSH Citizenship Field Trip has been canceled.

(3) - All Afternoon Activities have been canceled. (Including; After-School Detention, After-School Care, Football, Cheerleading, & Volleyball Practices.)

(4) - Afternoon Extended Care has been canceled. (School Dismissal is at 3:30pm. All student's Pre-School thru 12th Grade must be picked up by 3:45pm.)

(5) - All School Buses will operate on normal schedule.

Friday, September 8, 2017

(1) - School Campus will be closed. All classes and Extended Care have been canceled.

(2) - All Afternoon Activities have been canceled. (Including; After-School Detention, After-School Care, Football, Cheerleading, & Volleyball Practices.)

Saturday, September 9, 2017

(1) - Varsity Football Game has been canceled.

Monday, September 11, 2017

(1) - School Campus will be closed. All classes and Extended Care have been canceled.

(2) - All Afternoon Activities have been canceled. (Including; After-School Detention, After-School Care, Football, Cheerleading, & Volleyball Practices.)

(3) - Girl's Volleyball Game has been canceled.

Tuesday, September 12, 2017

(1) - School Campus will be closed. All classes and Extended Care have been canceled.

(2) - All Afternoon Activities have been canceled. (Including; After-School Detention, After-School Care, Football, Cheerleading, & Volleyball Practices.)

(3) - Grandparents Day Celebration Breakfast has been rescheduled to Friday, September 29, 2017.

Wednesday, September 13, 2017

(1) - We anticipate all School Operations and Activities will resume to normal schedule on Wednesday, September 13, 2017, unless otherwise stated.

Changes to Student’s Progress Report Distribution

Student Progress Reports will be available to parents during their child’s Open House, which is scheduled for Monday, September 18, 2017 thru Friday, September 22, 2017, depending on their grade level. 1st Quarter Progress Reports, will not be emailed to parents. Progress Report Grades must be submitted by teachers no later than Thursday, September 14, 2017 at 11:00am.

In order to inform parents and guardians, automated phone calls and emails will be sent out advising of the latest school cancellations, and necessary updates will be made to the School’s website at www.csjax.org and Facebook page. The safety of our students and community is of paramount importance, and we ask all residents to take the proper precautions during this severe weather system.
