Nesha Butterfield
2nd Grade Teacher

Mrs. Butterfield is a proud native of Jacksonville, Florida, and a graduate of the University of North Florida with a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice and Psychology. She began her career in law enforcement, where she met her husband, and together they later welcomed their miracle daughter. After becoming a mother, Mrs. Butterfield decided to transition into the education field, where she has been dedicated to fostering growth and development in young minds for over 4 years. Despite her relatively short time in education, her diverse experiences have shaped her passion for teaching and her commitment to student success.

Her teaching philosophy is centered on creating a classroom environment that encourages collaboration, inquiry, and critical thinking. She believes every student has the potential for success if given the right support and opportunities to explore their unique interests. Mrs. Butterfield strives to create a safe and inclusive space where students are not only challenged but are also empowered to take ownership of their learning.

In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, going on adventures, tending to her mini farm - especially her chickens and turning little moments into lasting memories!
